An elevation and plan showing four 'gloriettes', or "little houses" a typically French garden structure popular in the 18th century. Evoking the form of a bird cage, they were designed to encourage the growth of climbing plants. This drawing forms part of a set of five garden designs and structures by Barthélémy Duchesne.
