A beautiful pencil drawing of an antique female sculpture for a study called ‘Monuments et Fragmens Antiques’ by an unknown French student.

Part of a compilation of drawings held by Charles Mewès, the Paris trained architect who famously specialised in the design and refurbishment of hotels, restaurants, clubs, substantial private houses and the interiors of several ocean liners. Most prominent in his portfolio was the design of the Ritz Hotel in Paris, London and Madrid, The Royal Automobile Club on Piccadilly and the interiors for The Carlton Hotel in London.

Print Size: 32 x 50cm

Giclée printed on Hahnemühle 60% hemp fine art paper with conservation grade mount board and spacers.

Float mounted within a hand-crafted FSC timber frame and fitted with a poplar subframe, for additional structural support, and to allow the frame to sit flush against the wall.

UV filtering, anti-reflective glass.

Hand painted and waxed finish.
