Ouvrage à Trois Couronnes (Yellow)
The title translates poetically as ‘work of three crowns’. This is one of a series of seven plans for military fortifications by an unknown French draughtsman. When putting our selection together we were drawn to these works with their contemporary, graphic aesthetic.
The original drawing was made with pencil, pen, ink and coloured washes on laid paper.
