Francisco Farreras was a Spanish engineering draughtsman living and working in the late 19th century.

Locomotives revolutionised transportation. They became a fascination for the population, as they opened up countries and new possibilities.

Even though this was created as an immaculately detailed technical drawing, we love the sense of whimsy in the typeface as well as the playful colour palette.

The original drawing was made with pen, ink and watercolour on wove paper.
