Radical architect, artist, author and educator Ugo La Pietra produced this presentation piece for Emilio Ambasz’s seminal exhibition, ‘Italy, The New Domestic Landscape’ at MoMA, New York in 1972. It was his contribution to a wider collection of objects and interiors that were showcased to illustrate experimental domestic environments by the most illuminating and influential Italian designers and architects of that time.

This exhibition showcased the wave of futuristic design that had emerged in Italy, and was intended to encourage critical commentary on the relationship between people and architecture in an age of rapidly developing technology.
