Costume designs created for the Ballet Suedoise in Paris. This piece is avant-garde style comparable to structuralists such as Lavinski, Rodchencko and Malevitch, all of who were working in Russia in the early 1920s.

Between 1920-5, the Ballet Suedoise was the apogee of Parisian culture.  Their revolutionary avant-garde performances and costumes were considered the height of modernity.  Other notable artists who designed for them include Paul Colin, Fernand Leger and Jean Cocteau

Print size: 21 x 28cm

Giclée printed on Hahnemühle 60% hemp fine art paper with conservation grade mount board and spacers.

Float mounted within a hand-crafted FSC tulip frame and fitted with a poplar subframe, for additional structural support, and to allow the frame to sit flush against the wall.

UV filtering, anti-reflective glass.

Hand painted Pointing by Farrow and Ball and waxed finish.
